At this time of year, the best time to harvest TAKENOKO bamboo sprouts. Luckily, I can buy them very fresh at a farmers shop within walking distance. Bamboo sprouts are dug early in the morning, farmers got into the bamboo woods, dig bamboo sprouts and bring


those to the shop.
Today, I went to the shop early in the morning to buy those and I was back home, peeled those and add into big pot of water bring to boil until soften. I made TAKENOKO sushi with KINOME green leaves for our dinner.
